HOW TO BE A SUCCESSFUL MARKETER
 by Gloria Reibin

The farmer needs water. Nutrients in the soil, sunlight, &
multiple other factors go into determining how strong, big, &
luscious the vegetables. But without water, there's no vegetable.

The baker needs an oven. No matter how good the recipe, how fresh
the ingredients, how skilled the baker, without the heat of the
oven, there's no cake.

So too, the marketer has one prime factor that will make or kill
the sale. What is that factor? Does it depend on how large a
budget you have? On your experience? On charisma? While these
may  influence the outcome, the farmer's water and the baker's
oven for the marketer is -- attitude. That's right -- attitude --
how you think about yourself, your business, and your product(s).

How You Think About Yourself

Are you confident? It's difficult to be confidant when you are a
beginner. So what do you do? How do you gain that confidence? How
did you gain that confidence when you first learned to read, to
write, or to add. You practiced and you showed your work to
someone more knowledgeable than you, your teacher, your parents,
or your older sibling. What's more important, you listened to
what they said and took their advice. It's the same in your
business. You practice and you seek help from someone who knows
more than you, usually your sponsor or some successful person in
your business. You copy their success. In Network Marketing
that's called "duplicating."

Responsible businesses on the internet have tools that you can
use to build your business. These tools are confidence builders.
They help create that attitude that will be your key to financial
freedom in your business. Usually these tools are:

1. a web site
2. conference calls
3. fax on demand
4. 3-way calling
5. brochures & other literature

If your business doesn't have these tools, get another business.

Don't try to build your confidence or your business by yourself.
You may be in your own business, but you are not alone. Use the
tools. Study the website daily for changes. Go on all the
conference calls you can, especially the training calls. Do
3-ways with your upline and when you're confidant, do them with
your downline. I guarantee before long you'll have the confidence
you need to see your business soar.

Don't think you will build confidence without talking to people.
Most sales are closed through personal contact, whether it's
several emails to answer questions, phone calls, or in-person
meetings.

How You Think About Your Business

Do you think it's the best opportunity available for anyone?
Good. You're there. Enthusiasm alone can count for a lot.
If you don't think it's the best, you have two choices:

1. convince yourself
2. get another business

Convincing yourself doesn't mean trying to talk yourself into it
or hyping yourself so that you can "sell" it. It means studying
all aspects of the business carefully, the products, the
compensation plan, the people in the business. If that doesn't
convince you, then choose the second option, get another
business.

Sometimes we impulsively act on the hype ads, you know, the one's
that tell you you're going to make a million a month. It's okay
to answer those ads. Hey, after all maybe you can make a million
a month. (I know of some that really do have that potential.) But
do your homework the way you did when you learned how to read, to
write, and to add. (Okay, so maybe some of us didn't learn math,
you do know how to read and write. You're reading this.)

If you do choose to get another business, be sure to check it out
thoroughly before committing yourself to it. You've got to be
convinced.

How You Think About the Products

Love. Love. Love. You've got to love them. I know. A few people
can sell ice to Eskimos. (Notice the word few.) But, do you
admire those people? Do you really want to be one of them even if
you could? For my money, it's a waste of time. Make a point of
promoting products that you yourself can and do use. You should
have no moral, ethic, social or personal misgivings about the
products. If you're promoting a business just because it offers
you a large potential income, take the second option and get one
in whose products you can really believe.

This is the WORLD WIDE WEB. You have countless opportunities
here. Look. Study. Determine the one that's right for you. Then,
like the farmer with the water and the baker with the heat, you
will be the marketer with the attitude to grow a stable and
lucrative financial future.

Here's wishing you Health, Wealth, and Happiness
